ANALOG FILMMAKING
Hello, my name is Pietro, and welcome to my website!
I was born and raised in Campo Grande, MS, Brasil. Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by filmmaking. I was always with a camera in hand, shooting short films with friends and editing gaming videos. This passion continued to grow, leading me to move to São Paulo in 2015 to study advertising at ESPM, though filmmaking remained my primary focus. Throughout college, I had the chance to hone my skills by shooting short films and filming events.
After graduating in 2018, I worked at Tribal, one of Brasil’s largest advertising agencies, as a video editor. This experience helped me refine my workflow and improve my editing skills. Eventually, I decided to pursue my filmmaking passion by switching to freelance work. As a freelancer, I worked with a variety of artists, often taking on roles like shooting, directing, writing, editing, and producing their music videos.

In 2022, I took a trip that introduced me to analog photography, and I fell in love with the medium. Since then, I've prioritized working with analog film whenever possible. I quickly bought a Super 8 camera and started shooting music videos, music events, and travel films on it.
I also took workshops on shooting with 8mm and 16mm film, which led me to shoot my first short film in 16mm. My growing passion for analog filmmaking has set me apart, offering a distinctive look and feel that I bring to my projects.
Though I've spent the past decade living and working in São Paulo, I'm now looking to broaden my horizons with an international career.
My experience in Brazil's biggest city, along with my love for traveling, has shaped my unique perspective and diverse skill set. These qualities fuel my creativity and drive as a filmmaker.
